Andrea has been a client of Travelers Aid Society for more than ten years. When she first arrived in San Diego, she was unfamiliar with the area and unsure how to navigate the transportation system. With support from Travelers Aid, Andrea learned how to use public transit and gained the confidence and independence needed to move safely throughout the city.
Through the SANDAG funded monthly bus pass program, Andrea is able to attend medical appointments, pick up groceries and prescriptions, and remain active in her community. This support has helped her maintain her independence and stay connected to the services and relationships that are important to her daily life.
